Publish It First in Urology!
Dr. Eric A. Klein, Editor-in-Chief of Urology, strongly supported by the Board of Chairmen of the SIU, encourages and invites all members and supporters of the SIU to submit the results of their research and clinical work to the Gold Journal first, for these compelling reasons:
-
The average turnaround time between submission of a manuscript and the return of an editorial response was 21.6 days in 2009 and 17.5 days for the first quarter of 2010. The Urology editorial office aims to reduce the response time even further.
-
Urology articles are published online as Articles in Press at least 5 weeks in advance of print publication, and these articles are fully indexed and citeable upon publication online.
-
The full text of Urology articles are available online for SIU members and other individual subscribers at www.goldjournal.net and for institutions at www.ScienceDirect.com.
-
In 2009 there were an average of 60,000 full-text downloads of Urology content on the internet. Users in 88 different countries downloaded at least one article from Urology in 2009. The top five countries that accessed Urology content in 2009 were the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Korea.
-
Print copies of Urology are distributed to more than 3,000 SIU members worldwide, providing an important educational resource to parts of the world where the specialty of urology is growing most rapidly.
-
According to Thomsen Reuters, the Impact Factor for Urology is 2.365 and it ranks 26th out of 57 journals in the Urology & Nephrology category.
-
In a recent Author Feedback Survey, 93% of authors said they were very satisfied with their overall publishing experience with Urology.
