Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is one of the most common conditions to affect older men worldwide. Over the past few decades, numerous new techniques have been introduced to treat this condition, medical and surgical. However, there has been little research into how these techniques are applied on a global scale. The SIU Office of Research, uCARE is proud to announce a new initiative to study how symptomatic BPH is treated globally and to capture the regional differences in treatments and outcomes.
With the support of Principal Investigator and Office of Research Chair-Elect, Dr. Mihir Desai, uCARE has developed a new registry platform that makes patient input quick and easy. This will be a prospective, ongoing study with no endpoint. The registry will soon be open to enrollment.
Do you work at a high-volume institution that treats a significant number of BPH cases? Join us in our mission to advance urological care for patients worldwide: enroll in this study by submitting your information here.
